DIRECT INVESTMENTS, WHICH IS MADE BY FOREIGN INVESTORS TO MONGOLIA
However direct investments by foreign investors, was decreased by 32% in 2009 because of economical crisis, but it was increased by 176% in 2010 and reached to 1573,65 million USD. In the year of 2011, this amount is estimated to be increased “twice” or to be reached to 3283,46 million USD. 52% of total investments were made by Chinese and Russian investors and 14% by Hong Kong investors, 9% by UK investors, 6% by Canadian investors, 4% by US investors, 3% by Japanese investors and 2% was made by South Korean investors. 15% of total foreign direct investments were contributed to the construction sector of Mongolia and majority of these investors were from PRC, Japan, South Korea and France.
CURRENCY RATE
The “Euroasia capital” Non-banking financial organization expects that USD rate will be equal to 900MNT in 2020. This will improve the tugrug’s purchase capacity and as well as domestic demand. Except for it, investment risks, which are influenced by national currency, will be reduced and it will favorably influence on the investments.
